The formula
MemoHoney formula: what the label amounts mean against studied doses
The MemoHoney formula is seven printed rows: L-arginine 400 mg across two rows, L-citrulline 200 mg across two, beta alanine 40 mg, niacin 7.5 mg NE and calcium 18 mg. The studies of these amino acids used 1.6 to 30 g a day. The capsule holds 0.04 to 0.4 g, so study results do not carry over.

The formula
What is the MemoHoney formula?
The MemoHoney formula is seven rows in one capsule, grouped as arginine, citrulline, beta alanine, niacin and calcium, each printed in milligrams (MemoHoney label).
It is not a blend with hidden splits. You can read each row, add them up and compare them. The front line is "ADVANCED MEMORY SUPPORT*", and the star leads to the FDA statement that the claim has not been evaluated.
- AL-Arginine200 mg + 200 mg per capsule
- CL-Citrulline100 mg + 100 mg per capsule
- BBeta Alanine40 mg per capsule
- NNiacin7.5 mg NE (47% DV) per capsule
- CaCalcium18 mg (1.5% DV) per capsule
The seven rows of the Supplement Facts panel, grouped into five ingredient groups. Amounts are per capsule as printed on the label. Check the panel on your own bottle; if it differs, the bottle wins.
The arginine rows
What is L-arginine AKG 2:1 extract?
L-arginine AKG 2:1 extract is a second arginine row on the label, 200 mg, where AKG stands for alpha-ketoglutarate; the label does not define the 2:1.
The label does not say how much of the 200 mg is arginine. So the total arginine is between 200 mg (the base row alone) and 400 mg (if the whole extract counted). We use "up to 400 mg" in the comparisons below, which is the fair upper bound.
The one AAKG trial we cite gave 12 g a day to 35 trained men and looked at strength, not memory (Campbell 2006, AAKG). We found no trial of the extract for memory. L-arginine (base) is the plain amino acid; see the arginine page.
Label against studies
How does the MemoHoney L-arginine amount compare with studies?
The MemoHoney L-arginine amount, at most 400 mg a capsule, is about 6% of the 6.4 g a day used in the one oral memory pilot.
That 2026 pilot ran 30 days in older adults with measured memory problems, and the placebo group improved too (Teotia 2026, oral arginine pilot). A 1997 study gave arginine by vein, not by mouth, and ran no memory test (Reutens 1997, arginine cerebral flow). A safety trial gave up to 30 g a day for 90 days (McNeal 2018, arginine 30 g safety). The chart plots each label amount against its studied range on a log scale.
- L-Arginine (base + AKG extract)400 mg on the label
Studies: 6.4 g a day in one memory pilot; up to 30 g a day for 90 days in a safety trial. Studies used about 16 to 75 times the label amount. (Teotia 2026, oral arginine pilot) (McNeal 2018, arginine 30 g safety)
- L-Citrulline (HCl + malate)200 mg on the label
Studies: 3 to 9 g a day in exercise and blood pressure trials; no memory trial found. Studies used about 15 to 45 times the label amount. (Chen 2016, BCAA arginine citrulline) (Trexler 2019, citrulline meta)
- Beta Alanine40 mg on the label
Studies: 1.6 to 6.4 g a day; ISSN says 4 to 6 g a day; no cognitive change in the one test found. Studies used about 40 to 160 times the label amount. (Hoffman 2014, beta-alanine soldiers) (ISSN beta-alanine stand)
- Niacin7.5 mg on the label
Reference: 16 mg NE is the Daily Value; 35 mg a day is the upper limit for supplements. The label is 47% of the Daily Value and 21% of the upper limit for supplements. (NIH ODS, Niacin)
- Calcium18 mg on the label
Reference: adults need about 1,000 mg a day from all sources; the cognition trial used 1,000 mg with vitamin D. The label is about 2% of what an adult man needs in a day. (NIH ODS, Calcium) (Rossom 2012, WHI calcium + D)
Log scale: each gridline is ten times the one before. Studied ranges are daily amounts from the trials linked on each row; the arginine row compares the label's 400 mg (200 mg base plus 200 mg of an AKG extract) with arginine studies, and the citrulline row 200 mg (two forms) with citrulline studies. Niacin and calcium rows show reference levels, not study doses. A bar being far away does not mean the capsule is unsafe or useless; it means the study results cannot be borrowed for it.
The arithmetic
How many MemoHoney capsules would match a studied dose?
Matching the arginine dose of the memory pilot would take about 16 MemoHoney capsules a day, which is far past the label's one.
The sum is plain: 6,400 mg divided by 400 mg is 16. We show it to explain the gap, not to suggest it. The label says do not exceed the recommended dose, and more capsules would also raise the interaction risks.
| Ingredient | Per capsule | Studied | About how many capsules |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arginine (up to) | 400 mg | 6,400 mg (memory pilot) | 16 |
| Citrulline | 200 mg | 3,000 mg (low end, exercise) | 15 |
| Beta alanine | 40 mg | 1,600 mg (low end) | 40 |
| Calcium | 18 mg | 1,000 mg with vitamin D | About 55 |
Niacin is left out: its comparison is the 16 mg NE Daily Value, which one capsule meets at 47%.

Does a small dose mean MemoHoney does nothing?
A small dose does not prove MemoHoney does nothing; it means no study can tell you what it does.
The research does not say that 400 mg of arginine fails. It says nobody has tested it. Citrulline has no memory trial we could find, and beta alanine did not change a thinking test in 20 soldiers (Hoffman 2014, beta-alanine soldiers). The National Institute on Aging recommends no supplement for memory (NIA, Cognitive health and older adults).
Safety
Is the MemoHoney L-arginine formula safe with medicines?
It depends on your medicines: arginine can lower blood pressure too far with nitrates, sildenafil-type medicines and blood pressure medicines (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine).
It may also add to blood thinners and diabetes medicines, and it is not for people after a recent heart attack (Schulman 2006, VINTAGE MI). Ask your doctor or pharmacist first. Keep taking prescribed medicine; chest pain, fainting or trouble breathing: call 911. Memory problems that are new or getting worse need a clinician, not a capsule.

FAQ
MemoHoney formula: common questions
What is the MemoHoney formula?
It is seven label rows in a vegetable capsule: niacin 7.5 mg NE, calcium 18 mg, L-arginine 200 mg, L-arginine AKG 2:1 extract 200 mg, L-citrulline HCl 100 mg, L-citrulline malate 100 mg and beta alanine 40 mg. Each amount is printed.
What does AKG 2:1 mean on the MemoHoney label?
AKG stands for alpha-ketoglutarate. The label does not define the 2:1 and does not say how much arginine the 200 mg holds, so total arginine is between 200 and 400 mg.
How much L-arginine is in MemoHoney?
The panel prints 200 mg of L-arginine (base) and 200 mg of L-arginine AKG 2:1 extract, which is 400 mg across two rows. The arginine inside the extract is not stated, so 400 mg is an upper bound.
Is the MemoHoney dose the same as in studies?
No. The studies of arginine used 1.5 to 30 g a day, citrulline 3 to 9 g and beta alanine 1.6 to 6.4 g. Each label row holds 40 to 200 mg. Results from those doses cannot be read onto the capsule.
What does Advanced Memory Support mean on the label?
It is the front line of the label, followed by a star that leads to the FDA statement. It is a marketing line, not a finding. No study tested the product, and the FDA has not evaluated the claim.
Is the MemoHoney formula patented or backed by a product trial?
The label states neither. No patent, trial of the product or lab report is printed. The lot and CoA codes the seller gives are seller references, not lab proof.
