MemoHoney side effects: what each ingredient can do and who should wait
MemoHoney side effects can include stomach upset, bloating and diarrhea from arginine, and dizziness if blood pressure drops too far. Arginine can interact with nitrates, sildenafil-type medicines, blood pressure medicines and blood thinners. No trial tested the capsule, so the sources on each ingredient are the guide.

The short answer
What are the side effects of MemoHoney?
The side effects of MemoHoney have not been studied, because no trial tested the product. The likely ones come from its ingredients.
Arginine is the row with the most cautions. Mayo Clinic and Memorial Sloan Kettering list stomach upset, bloating and diarrhea, plus low blood pressure and interactions with several medicines (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine) (MSK, Arginine). The capsule holds 400 mg of arginine across two rows, which is much less than the grams used in studies, so these effects may be milder or may not appear. We cannot say which.
The panel's other rows are smaller. Not enough data exists to say how you will react, so the safest plan is to start only after the checks below, and to stop if something feels wrong.
- Stomach upset, bloating or diarrhea.
- Dizziness or lightheadedness, if blood pressure falls.
- Skin tingling or flushing at higher doses of two minor rows.
- Rash or hives, which may signal an allergy.
By ingredient
What are the L-arginine side effects, and what about the other rows?
L-arginine side effects are mostly stomach upset and low blood pressure; the other rows add small, dose-dependent effects.
Each source below describes studied doses. The label amounts are smaller, so treat the list as what to watch for, not what will happen.
| Row and label amount | Caution | Source |
|---|---|---|
| L-arginine, 400 mg across two rows | Stomach upset; blood pressure drops with some medicines; gout, asthma and allergy cautions | (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine) |
| L-citrulline, 200 mg across two rows | Stomach discomfort in 6 of 41 people in one study; long-term safety not well assessed | (NIH ODS, exercise supplements) |
| Beta alanine, 40 mg | Tingling at single doses of about 800 mg or more; the label is far below that | (ISSN beta-alanine stand) |
| Niacin, 7.5 mg NE | Flushing at about 30 to 50 mg of nicotinic acid; liver harm at 1,000 mg and up; the form is not named | (NIH ODS, Niacin) |
| Calcium, 18 mg | Calcium carbonate can interact with levothyroxine, some antibiotics and lithium | (NIH ODS, Calcium) |
Interactions
Which medicines interact with MemoHoney?
Arginine, the main row in MemoHoney, can interact with nitrates, sildenafil-type medicines, blood pressure medicines, blood thinners and diabetes medicines.
With nitrates and sildenafil-type medicines, blood pressure can fall too far. Blood pressure medicines can have an added effect. Blood thinners and diabetes medicines may be strengthened (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine). Do not change a prescribed medicine yourself.
In the VINTAGE MI trial, 6 of 153 patients on arginine died after a heart attack and none on placebo (Schulman 2006, VINTAGE MI). Arginine is not for people after a recent heart attack. Ask your cardiologist.
Answer the eight questions to see where you land, then take the result to a pharmacist.
Warning signs
When should you stop MemoHoney and call a doctor?
Stop taking MemoHoney and call a doctor if you feel dizzy or faint on standing, have lasting stomach trouble or get a rash. Call 911 for chest pain, fainting or trouble breathing.
These signs apply to any arginine product. Keep the bottle so you can show the label to the clinician.
- Dizzy, faint or lightheaded on standingA sign blood pressure may be too low, especially with nitrates, ED medicines or blood pressure medicines. Sit or lie down, stop the capsules and call your doctor.
- Chest pain, fainting, trouble breathingCall 911 now. Do not drive yourself, and do not wait for a supplement to help.
- Stomach pain, bloating or diarrheaThe common side effects of arginine. Stop and ask a clinician if they last.
- Rash, hives or swellingPossible allergy. Stop and get medical help; swelling of the face or throat or trouble breathing is an emergency.
- Memory slipping fast, getting lost, repeating questionsThese are warning signs NIA lists for a medical check. See a clinician rather than waiting for a supplement to help.
Signs from (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine) (NIA, Memory problems and aging) (FDA report a problem). This list is not complete. A supplement is never a reason to wait.
To report a problem to the FDA, use its safety reporting page (FDA report a problem).

Is MemoHoney safe?
No source can say how MemoHoney will treat every reader, because the product has not been tested and safety depends on your health and medicines.
What we can say: the label prints every amount, the amounts are small next to studied doses, and the cautions come from the sources on each row. The label tells pregnant or nursing mothers, people under 18 and people with a known medical condition to consult a physician. Supplements are not approved by the FDA before sale (FDA 101 supplements), so the seller carries the duty to label honestly.
Bring the Supplement Facts panel to your pharmacist. A five-minute check beats a guess.
A bigger risk
Can a supplement hide a memory problem that needs care?
Yes, relying on a capsule can delay care for a memory problem that has a treatable cause.
Memory problems that are new, getting worse or getting in the way of daily life need a clinician. Thyroid, kidney or liver problems, medicine side effects, depression, poor sleep and low B12 can all cloud memory (NIA, Memory problems and aging). More on this in memory loss versus normal forgetting and arginine and blood pressure medicines.
Keep taking prescribed medicine exactly as directed. See who it is for before you order.

MemoHoney side effects FAQ
Does MemoHoney cause stomach upset?
It may. Stomach upset, bloating and diarrhea are the common effects listed for arginine, and one study reported stomach discomfort in 6 of 41 people on citrulline. Taking the capsule with the full 8 oz of water, as labeled, is the printed direction.
Can MemoHoney cause low blood pressure or dizziness?
It might. Arginine can drop blood pressure too far, especially with nitrates, sildenafil-type medicines or blood pressure medicines. If you feel dizzy or faint on standing, sit down, stop the capsules and call your doctor.
Does MemoHoney cause headaches?
We found no source tying headaches to these label amounts. Headache can come with a drop in blood pressure or with flushing, so stop and ask a clinician if one starts after the capsule.
Does MemoHoney cause flushing or tingling?
Possibly, but the label amounts are low. Tingling from beta alanine starts at single doses near 800 mg, and the label has 40 mg. Flushing from nicotinic acid starts near 30 to 50 mg, and the label has 7.5 mg NE.
Can I take MemoHoney with blood thinners or diabetes medicine?
Ask your doctor or pharmacist first. Mayo Clinic says arginine may add to blood thinners and to diabetes medicines. Do not stop or change either medicine because of a supplement.
Is MemoHoney safe with sildenafil or nitrates?
Not without medical advice. Arginine might drop blood pressure too low with nitrates, and nitrates must never be combined with sildenafil-type medicines. Ask your doctor before taking any arginine product.
How do I report a MemoHoney side effect?
Tell your clinician, stop the capsules if symptoms are serious, and report the problem to the FDA through its safety reporting page. Tell the seller too: use the order desk number on the contact page.
